Asteroid Bennu is holding onto secrets from before our solar system even existed! Scientists found stardust older than the sun, plus organic stuff and ancient ices from interstellar space in Bennu’s samples. Turns out, Bennu’s parent asteroid had a wild ride—formed far out in the solar system, got smashed apart, and reassembled a few times.
