I never thought I’d be caught in a trust crisis with my 12-year-old brother, but here I am. He’s suddenly developed a crush on an 8-year-old girl in our neighborhood, and apparently, she likes him back. I’m torn between wanting to protect him and not wanting to destroy the open, honest relationship we’ve built. If I forbid it, will he just sneak around? If I let it go, am I being irresponsible?
