Pureeing Meat for Baby Food or Soft Diets: The Real Trick

Pick a tender cut of meat—think top sirloin for beef or boneless chicken. The more tender, the smoother your puree will turn out. Cook the meat slowly (braising, slow cooker, or boiling are all solid options). This keeps it moist and flavorful. Make sure the meat is fully cooked—use a thermometer to hit the right temp for each type. Chill the cooked meat in the fridge for at least 2 hours. Cold meat purees way better than warm. Chop the meat into 1-inch pieces and toss it in your food processor. Blend until it looks powdery. Add about 1/4 cup of liquid (broth, cooking liquid, or water) per cup of meat, then blend until smooth. Adjust liquid for your preferred texture. Store leftovers in the fridge (3-4 days) or freeze for later. Mixing in pureed veggies is a great way to add flavor and nutrition! #pureedmeat #babydiet #softfoods #Parenting #Babyfood #Food #Cooking

Parents come in! Pureeing Chicken for Baby’s First Foods

Choose dark meat chicken like thighs for more iron and flavor. Remove all skin and bones, then dice the meat into small cubes. Cover the chicken with water or broth in a saucepan and bring to a boil. Lower the heat and simmer for 15-20 minutes until fully cooked (165°F inside). Save a few tablespoons of the cooking liquid. Let the chicken cool, then add about 1/2 cup of chicken and 2-3 tablespoons of liquid to a blender or food processor. Pulse until chopped, then puree until smooth. Add more liquid if needed, but don’t overdo it. For extra nutrition or taste, mix in a little cooked veggie or fruit your baby likes. Try one new ingredient at a time to watch for allergies. Super easy, and you know exactly what your baby’s eating! #BabyFood #ChickenPuree #FirstFoods #Food #Cooking

Again, My Chinese grandma👵's secret Puree recipe (adults & kids)

Hi,Betty and her grandma again😊 My grandma 's secret Recipe(2): Homemade Puree 🍖🍤 2kinds, Meat and Seafood 🥩&🐟🦐 Very friendly for kids, healthy and nutritious!! Ingredients: - 🥩Pork (2:8 lean to fat ): Remove the sinew and membrane, then cut into small pieces and grind into a very fine puree. The finer, the better! - 🥔Potato: Half a potato, blended with water into a fine puree. Small granules are also okay. - 🥚Egg white: One egg white, mixed thoroughly with the above ingredients. - 🦐Shrimp and fish (1:1 ): Also blended with ginger and scallion water until smooth. Add half a potato puree and one egg white, mix well. Instructions: 1. **Pork Puree**: Mix the finely ground pork with the potato puree and egg white until completely combined. Cover the mixture with plastic wrap, poke some holes, and steam for 15 minutes. Then, pour the beaten egg yolk over the surface and steam for another 5 minutes. 2. **Shrimp and Fish Puree**: Follow the same process as the pork puree. Blend the shrimp and fish with ginger and scallion water, add the potato puree and egg white, mix well, and steam in the same manner. Tips: 1. **Marinate the meat**: Use ginger water to marinate the meat to remove any fishy odor. Add the soaked ginger water while grinding the meat. The finer the meat, the better, as larger particles can be a choking hazard for kids. 👶 2. **Mold preparation**: Grease the container or line it with parchment paper to prevent sticking. Press the meat puree firmly to remove air pockets. Cover with aluminum foil or plastic wrap to prevent water droplets from falling in. This will make it easier to demold after cooling. 🥢 3. **Add veggies**: You can add vegetables like corn, spinach, or carrots according to your child’s preferences. These additions make the puree easier to digest. 🥕 4. **Seasoning for older kids**: For children over one year old, you can marinate the meat with children’s soy sauce for 30 minutes. 🍯 5. **Storage**: The puree can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. For longer storage, freeze it and reheat before serving. I like to pan-fry it for a crispy texture that kids love! 🍳 I have to say that my grandma is super clever!!! Enjoy cooking and feeding your little ones! 👧👦 #BabyFood #Homemade #HealthyEating #Recipes #Share my food #Cooking Techniques #Meat
