susan85+Follow2.5hr drive for cliffs, sea lions, & wildflowers??Took a spontaneous day trip to this unreal oceanside trail and I’m still thinking about it. Left San Jose at 7AM, and by 9:30 we were standing on a cliff, staring at crashing waves and sunbathing sea lions 🦭. The hike’s super beginner-friendly (1.8 miles roundtrip), but the views? Straight-up postcard level. Wildflowers everywhere, cows just vibing in the fields, and the sea breeze felt like therapy. Parking’s tiny—get there early or after 3PM. And bring a windbreaker unless you like being a human kite. Bonus: hit a cozy cheese spot on the way back for the best grilled cheese of my life. 📍Chimney Rock Trail, Point Reyes National Seashore #bayareahikes #oceanviewtrail60Share
Wendy Rodriguez+Followfelt like i hiked straight into a prairie postcardDrove a little over an hour from San Jose and ended up in a sea of green hills and crazy wind. This place is giving North Prairie energy—like, grass so green it looks fake in photos. You just pick a trail and go. No planning, no stress. Wind was insane though—def bring a jacket unless you wanna be humbled by nature. Park at the second lot unless you're into surprise cardio. $5 well spent for that kind of view tbh. 📍5175 Somersville Rd,Antioch #bayareahikes #hiking #greenescape00Share
Mario Larsen+FollowSaratoga Ridge’s Color BurstSaratoga Ridge Loop is a weekend gem—trails weave between cool dappled shade and warm golden sunlight, keeping every step dynamic. Just the right length: not too tough, but rewarding enough to feel accomplished. Autumn turns the ridge into a fiery canvas, blending fresh greens with blazing reds. Weekends get busy, but parking clears fast with patient waiters. Perfect for all levels—whether you’re seasoned or new. Bonus? Nearby McClure Beach trailhead extends the fun. Nature + community vibes = pure magic. #Outdoors#Hiking#SaratogaRidgeHike#BayAreaHikes #ColorfulAdventures 10Share
