🥗Abaca 📍2700 Jones St, San Francisco, CA 94133 · ▫️We found another amazing brunch spot! The Filipino style food is truly comforting for Asian taste buds. The restaurant is located on the first floor of a hotel and the overall style is absolutely loveable! As soon as you enter, you're greeted with abundant natural light coming from above, creating a cozy dining experience! · ▫️During brunch hours, the crowd is manageable. We went on a weekend and it wasn't too crowded, so no need to wait for seating (we had made a reservation in advance, but walk-ins seemed possible). They also have a bar and bakery, making the menu quite extensive. · 🧇Tikoy Pandan waffle It has mochi inside, which makes it soft and delicious as a dessert! · 🥓Wagyu Tapsilog It has a Korean taste to it, and although it looks small, it's actually quite filling! The combination of meat and scrambled eggs, with a crispy touch, is incredibly satisfying! · 🥩Tochino Silog The grilled pork belly is amazingly flavorful and substantial. The portion is really generous. I actually quite like their rice, it somehow complements their dishes perfectly. · ▫️Their dishes may not look huge in terms of portion, but they are solid and satisfying. Surprisingly, we couldn't finish our plates 😂 It exceeded my expectations! 🍖Horn Barbecue 📍 2534 Mandela Parkway, Oakland, CA 94607 ▫️Since I previously went to Texas and couldn't stop thinking about the barbecue, I was thrilled to find a more authentic Texas barbecue place in the Bay Area. 🥰 Let's hurry and give it a try! ▫️They opened at 11 AM and by 11:15 AM, there was already a long line. The line moved quite slowly, with about 5-10 minutes per group. I had a good impression when I tried it a while ago, so I couldn't resist revisiting when I saw it nearby. Since my stomach hasn't been feeling well lately, I wanted something hot and comforting, and a bowl of Pho seemed perfect. - The portion of noodle soup is generous, even the medium-sized bowl is enough. The vegetables, broccoli 🥦 and shrimp rolls, are fresh, and the service is fast! Indeed, enjoying hot noodle soup while it's still hot is the most comforting. - PPQ Beef Noodle House offers a combination of raw beef slices, beef balls, beef tripe, and more in a bowl of noodle soup, making it the most diverse bowl of beef noodle. I personally love it! You can taste all the different ingredients in one go. - Another favorite of mine is the Five-Spice Chicken. The noodle soup and chicken pieces are served separately. The broth for the noodle soup is flavorful, and the chicken is fried to perfection - crispy and tender. Chicken Liver Salad in a French Restaurant 😍

🥘 Mathilde French Bistro 📍 315 5th St, San Francisco, CA 94107 ▫️ This small French restaurant near my home has been standing for years and is always on the Michelin recommended list and various food review rankings. ▫️ I've been here a few times before the pandemic, and the impression has always been great. The portions are generous, the taste is rich, and it feels authentic! ▫️ Coming back after the pandemic, I ordered my favorite Scallop that I always get, and it's still delicious! This time, I tried their new dish, Chicken Liver Salad 🥗, and it's absolutely amazing! 🥹 It's so tasty that it brought tears to my eyes! Next time, I should just order two servings and have it as my main course! The chicken liver is so tender!!! The portion they gave is very generous, the plate is fully filled with chicken livers, hardly any green leafy vegetables can be seen 😂 ▫️ The duck leg is also a classic! If you love steak, their steak is also very good! ▫️ The dessert selection is not extensive, but the portion is generous. Why did we choose Hillsborough after seeing 100+ homes?

After looking at over 100 homes since 2022, we finally decided on Hillsborough. So, why this place? Here’s a quick rundown: 1️⃣ Palo Alto/Los Altos – Great for resale value, but not my top choice for comfort. Houses were expensive for what we got, especially near the Stanford area. 2️⃣ Cupertino – We liked the bigger homes and had some good options, but prices skyrocketed in 2023! 3️⃣ Los Altos Hills – Ideal for rebuilding, but some areas felt too isolated, and the price hikes were insane.
