Convincing My Dog We Need Another Cat
So here’s the situation: my dog has claimed the foot of the bed, my partner gets the left side, I’m on the right, and our three cats have somehow negotiated a rotating schedule for the pillow zone. But every night, there’s one lonely, empty corner—just staring at me, like a sad, unclaimed territory.
I tried explaining this to my dog, who looked at me like I’d suggested inviting a raccoon to dinner. But honestly, isn’t it a little unfair to leave a whole quadrant of the bed unused?
I’m not saying we need a fourth cat, but if the universe gives you four corners, shouldn’t you fill them all? For symmetry. For balance. For the pure chaos of it all.
