How to Housing a Bird

🏠 How to House a Bird: 1️⃣ Cage Size: - Purchase a large cage for your bird, ensuring it can accommodate its wingspan. The width of the cage should be at least twice the wingspan of your bird. - Some birds need space for short flights within the cage to maintain a healthy living space. 2️⃣ Cage Requirements: - Choose cage bars that are not too small or too large. - Smaller bars may cause the bird's talons to get caught, while larger ones may allow the bird to escape. - Larger cages provide more space for the bird to move and prevent behavior problems. 3️⃣ Multiple Birds: - If housing more than one bird, ensure the cage has enough space for each bird. - Birds need space to retreat, forage, fly, and be apart from each other. - Consider using aviaries for keeping several birds together. 4️⃣ Cage Placement: - Place the cage indoors in a warm and comfortable area with frequent traffic. - Birds are social animals and may become unhappy if isolated in a room. - Choose a location that is easily accessible for cleaning purposes. 5️⃣ Easy Cleaning: - Line the bottom of the cage with old magazine papers. - This makes cleaning easier, as you can dispose of the papers and replace them with fresh ones daily. #BirdCare #CageSelection #HealthyLivingSpace #MultipleBirds #CagePlacement

why do people get pets if they can’t afford them? 🤯

I’ve had enough of seeing posts about people asking for advice on what to do with their sick birds because they “can’t afford a vet.” It breaks my heart, especially when you can clearly tell they shouldn’t have gotten the pet in the first place.Let me make this clear: If you got a pet when you were financially stable, and something unexpected happened, I’m not talking about you. But when you get a pet, especially something like a bird or a cat, and can’t provide basic care, it’s honestly mind-boggling.I’m a bird owner myself. A few months ago, I thought one of my parrots had pneumonia and rushed him to the vet THREE times. Thankfully, he was fine. But I can’t stand seeing pet owners who seem oblivious to the responsibility of caring for a pet long-term—especially when they’re not in a place to give it the proper care.Pets need our commitment, not just the fun parts. 🐦💔#PetResponsibility #BirdCare #AnimalWelfare #Pets

So You Want a Pet Bird?

Before you bring home a feathered friend, ask yourself: ❌ Do you have cats, dogs, or other big pets? ❌ Are you out of the house all day, traveling often? ❌ Are you super impatient or a clean freak? If yes, birds might not be for you. Worried about first-time bird care? No need! Just stock up on: ✅ A proper cage & good-quality food ✅ Common meds (electrolytes, probiotics) ✅ LOTS of patience & time Bird quirks to expect: 💩 Poop happens (literally everywhere) 📢 Some scream, some chirp—all make noise 🦜 Biting? Could be fear, playfulness, or attitude Good news? Birds are cheap to entertain! A box, a keychain, or a hair tie = hours of fun. Birds need love & interaction, not just a cage. Ready for that? #PetBirds #BirdCare#PetDecisions
