The Spanos family ripped out a piece of this city’s soul when they moved to LA. 57 years of history, generations of families passing down powder blue jerseys, tailgating in the Murph parking lot, “San Diego Super Chargers” echoing through the stadium… they threw it all away for a bigger market. Some of y’all might be ready to move on if the NFL gives us another franchise, but not me. My loyalty died the day those moving trucks left town. I’m not going through that heartbreak again with some shiny new team that could just as easily abandon us when a better deal comes along. San Diego deserves better than what we got, but I can’t just transfer 30+ years of emotion to a new logo.
