Went for One Dog, Came Home with Siblings
So, I went to the shelter yesterday, fully intending to adopt a single dog. Just one. I had the leash, the treats, the whole solo-dog-parent fantasy. But the universe (and the shelter staff) had other plans. Turns out, the pup I picked had a brother. And apparently, separating them would be like breaking up the Beatles. Cue the guilt trip: sad puppy eyes x2, synchronized tail wags, and the shelter volunteer whispering, "They're a bonded pair."
Long story short, I now have two dogs. They do everything together—eat, nap, even bark at the mailman in perfect harmony. My apartment is chaos, my heart is full, and my bank account is... adjusting. Honestly, I wouldn’t change a thing. If you’re thinking about adopting, just know: sometimes, you don’t choose the pack—the pack chooses you.
