For Lazys, Microwave Bacon & Egg Sandwich Hack !
Making a bacon and egg sandwich in the microwave is a real time-saver. I always spray a little cooking spray in a bowl (sometimes a coffee mug if I want the egg to fit my bread better), crack in an egg, and prick the yolk with a fork. Covering it with cling film helps the egg cook more evenly. One minute in the microwave and the egg comes out just right—no runny spots, no rubbery edges.
For the bacon, I let the plate cool a bit before laying out two slices between paper towels. If the microwave has a bacon setting, I use it, but if not, 90 seconds per slice usually does the trick. The paper towels soak up a lot of the grease, so the bacon isn’t soggy.
Once everything’s cooked, I stack the egg and bacon on bread. Sometimes I add a slice of American cheese and microwave it for a few more seconds to melt. Mayonnaise is optional, but it does add a nice touch. The whole process takes less than five minutes and cleanup is easy. Perfect for when there’s no time to fuss with the stove.
