When company cuts came, guess who was first to go? Me. 💔I'm still processing this painful truth: what you gain by chance, you'll lose without competence. The higher you climb without foundation, the harder you fall. #CareerGrowth #CareerAdvancement #CareerBreak30Share

Tina Soto+Followwhy setting a 'check-in' date saved my job moveI switched from a remote job at $95k to an in-office role at $125k, and instantly regretted it due to the long commute and less family time. Instead of panicking, I set a 'check-in' date a month out. It gave me room to adjust, and now I see the growth potential and feel confident in my decision. Sometimes, time can bring clarity! #JobRegret #CareerGrowth #LifeBalance #JobCareer90Share

Nancy Wright+FollowMy first residential project post-graduation 🌟It's hard to believe it's already been a year since graduating from Berkeley! In this time, aside from my usual work, tutorials, and co-authoring a book, I’ve taken on three exciting projects. One of them is a private residential project in the U.S., and I’m so grateful for the trust and support from the homeowners! 🙏🏻 Currently in the pre-design phase, we’re using drones for 3D scanning and modeling to better visualize how the building will fit into its environment. The site is massive—about 20 football fields—and surrounded by trees, with even a little creek house on the slope! 💧 The space and its history are just magical. It’s a thrilling start to what promises to be a challenging and rewarding journey. Excited to dive in and make it the best it can be! 🏡✨ #ArchitectureJourney #DesignDreams #CareerGrowth30Share
morganjustin+FollowFrom $20/hr to $85K—did it!A few years ago, I was barely making $20/hr—no benefits, no PTO, and every unexpected expense was a crisis. Now, I’m at $85K, and my wife and I are still getting used to having financial flexibility. We went from stressing over car repairs to paying cash for home upgrades. Next stop? Hopefully six figures. Oh, and I finally finished my undergrad at 40—master’s and CPA on the way. It’s never too late to level up. 💪 #CareerGrowth #PayRaise80Share
Julie Lyons+FollowDo I really need to network to get ahead?I'm starting to question my next career move. I work in marketing at a big company, and it's become clear that networking is key to advancing. But honestly, I hate it. I believe my work should speak for itself, not small talk with colleagues or top management. Is this a skill I need to force myself to develop, or are there career paths where networking isn't such a big deal? Would love to hear your thoughts or advice! Does anyone else feel the same way? #careergrowth #networking #jobpromotion120Share
kristina38+Follow8 jobs in 10 years—was it me or them?I used to think job-hopping was a red flag. But after 8 companies in 10 years, I’ve realized sometimes the problem isn’t you—it’s them. From toxic leadership and mass layoffs to unrealistic workloads, I’ve seen it all. I stuck it out, kept learning, and finally landed at a company I actually love. HR can be a rollercoaster, but finding the right fit is worth it. Anyone else been through a job journey like this? ⬇️ #CareerGrowth #JobHopping100Share
