Jesus Ayala, now 20, received a sentence of 20 years to life in prison, while Jzamir Keys, now 18, was sentenced to 18 years to life.
Both will be eligible for parole after serving the minimum terms, because the state doesn't allow juveniles to be sentenced to life without parole.

The pair pleaded guilty in October to second-degree m*rder with use of a deadly weapon in the death of Andreas "Andy" Probst, a 64-year-old retired police chief from Bell, California.
Additional charges included battery with a deadly weapon.
Key facts from the case:
🔵On August 14, 2023, Ayala and Keys, then 17 and 16, stole a Hyundai Elantra and went on a rampage, intentionally hitting two bicyclists in northwest Las Vegas.
🔵Video evidence captured by Keys showed the defendants laughing as Ayala swerved to hit Probst from behind while he rode in a bike lane, killing him instantly.
🔵The same spree included hitting another bicyclist who survived and other vehicle thefts and crashes.
🔵In prior court appearances the pair didn't show any remorse, but instead giggled and flipped off the victims family.
During the sentencing iJudge Jacqueline Bluth said there was "no excuse" for the pain caused.
Probst's widow, Crystal Probst, and children delivered emotional victim impact statements, describing the family's permanent devastation and the added trauma of the recorded m*rder.
