Today was a wild ride. Picture this: I'm in my second year of teaching at a bustling city high school, and out of nowhere, one of my students—freshly 18—looks me dead in the eye and says, "I don't have to listen to you anymore. I'm an adult now." My mind froze. For a split second, I felt a mix of shock, anger, and even a little amusement. I managed a smile and replied, "Sure, you can make your own choices, but remember, every choice has its consequences."
