How I Try (and Fail) to Comfort My Friend on Her Period
So, my best friend texts me, clearly having one of those days—cramps, mood swings, the whole nine yards. I want to help, but honestly, I never know what to say. I start with, "Hey, you’ve been on my mind all day," hoping it sounds caring and not creepy. Then I throw in, "You’re still the prettiest person I know," which I think is sweet, but she just sends a crying-laughing emoji.
I offer to bring chocolate, but she says she wants chips instead. So, I show up with chips, a movie, and a playlist of her favorite songs. We end up laughing at memes and cuddling with her cat. Turns out, just being there and listening is what matters most—even if my snack choices are questionable. 😂
Honestly, friendship is weird, but I wouldn’t trade these moments for anything. 💛
