My 5.5-Year-Old’s Deer Drawings — Just Talent or

A few days ago, my daughter (5 and a half) saw a few deer while we were out for a walk. When we got home, she sat down and drew these pictures completely from memory — no references, no tracing, no lessons. Just her imagination and observation. Each drawing tells a little story, and I was amazed by her attention to detail — the colors, the expressions, even the layout of the scenes. She’s never taken any art classes. It’s all just from her love for drawing and the way she sees the world. As a parent, I’m wondering: • Is this just normal creativity for her age, or could this be a sign of real artistic talent? • How should we support and nurture this love for drawing without turning it into pressure? • Are there good resources or programs in the U.S. for young children who love to create? Would love to hear your thoughts — especially from teachers, artists, or fellow parents with creative kids! #kidsart #childrensart #creativekids #arteducation #earlytalent #deerdrawing #momlife #parentingthoughts #artistintraining #homemadepicturebook

🌈SALAD SPINNER SPIN ART🥗🎨

Looking for a fun and easy art activity to do with your kiddos? Try salad spinner spin art! 🖌️✨ Here's how to get started: 1️⃣ Trace the salad spinner basket onto a piece of paper (card stock if you have it) and cut out the circle. 2️⃣ Squirt several different colors of paint close to the center of the circle. Try quarter-sized blobs or squirt the paint into a spiral for the best effect. 3️⃣ Put the lid on the salad spinner and spin it really fast! 4️⃣ Take it off to dry or repeat steps 2 and 3 for a cool layered effect. ✏️MORE LEARNING: - Ask "why do you think the paint splatters away from the center?" This encourages scientific observation and inquiry. - Ask "Did any colors mix together? What colors did they make?" - After the spin art paintings dry, you can use a shape hole punch or scissors to cut out fun shapes. 🐣 Spin art Easter Eggs, anyone? 🖍️Let creativity soar and have a blast with this colorful, mess-free art activity! #artwithkids #saladspinnerspinart #processart #creativekids #learningthroughplay #DIYactivities #spinartfun #messfreeart #kidscrafts #staycreative
