is it wild to buy crickets for pets or am i overthinking this?

Hey everyone, quick question for all the pet lovers out there! So, I just got a new reptile buddy and apparently, crickets are the go-to snack. But I have zero clue how to keep these little jumpers alive until feeding time. Do I need a special container? How often do I feed them? Do they need water or something?
