They're nothing special, just a bunch of rude, snobbish people living in their own bubble, looking down on everyone else. All those rules, the obsequious bowing and scraping, and the millions of titled staff (like the “backstairs boys” and such) are just made - up nonsense to make royal family members (from any country) seem mysterious. It's so sad. I hope the world can move with the times and get rid of them all. We're not in the 14th century anymore.
