Spending Christmas With Myself

This is my first Christmas completely on my own. No family visit, no shared plans, no expectations from anyone else. I wasn’t sure how it would feel, and honestly, I was a little nervous. But as the day went on, I started to enjoy the freedom of it. I ate what I wanted, rested when I felt tired, and didn’t explain my choices to anyone. I went for a long walk and watched the lights come on one by one. It felt different—not sad, not exciting, just grounding. Like checking in with myself after a long year.
