Brianna Patel+FollowThe Home Design Trends I Think We’ll All Regret Sooner Than We ThinkHonestly, some of the home design I’ve seen in friends’ houses or even in my own past projects already feels dated very quickly. Like, painting over brick in solid grey or white is a big one. Unless the brick is truly ugly to begin with, staining or limewashing usually keeps the texture and charm. A flat coat of paint can make it look more like a toy than a home. Or electric fireplaces are another example. Where I live, power outages happen every year in storms. If the fireplace can’t work when the lights are out, it’s basically just a decoration. Then there’s the whole open bathroom trend with no doors and giant freestanding tubs. They’re awkward to get in and out of and a nightmare to clean behind. Showers without doors just mean water everywhere and slippery floors, which is dangerous for anyone, especially kids or older family members. And finally that whole Pinterest-inspired trim overload. Adding trim or paintings in the middle of EVERY wall, EVERY room, so annoying What do you think of these? I bet you also have some opinions on design choices that are bound to be outdated 😂 You know how annoying those designs are #HomeDesign #InteriorTrends #DesignFails #HomeDecor #RenovationTips #Home 3913Share
rogerwilliams+FollowHow much would you pay for this haircut?Just came across this absolute masterpiece(?) and I genuinely can’t tell if it’s a work of art or a cry for help. Like, the dedication is undeniable… but also, why? Be honest, how much would you pay for this? (Or better yet how much would someone have to pay you to wear this) #FashionFails #Humor #DesignFails #Hairstyles #Hair 333257Share
William Wilkerson+FollowReddit’s Hot Take on Kitchen BacksplashesApparently, it’s not your cabinets making your kitchen look old—it’s that dated backsplash! Redditors are roasting peel-and-stick backsplashes, saying they’re a quick fix but won’t last (especially if you love pasta nights). Pro tip from a designer: skip the stickers and go for a real tile update if you can. And if you’re painting cabinets, warm neutrals are the move—gray is out! Who knew Reddit had such strong kitchen opinions? #KitchenRemodel #DesignFails #HomeHacks #Home00Share
Anne Clark+FollowBridges That Make You Go Huh?!Ever driven over a bridge and thought, 'Who designed this?' From a bridge in Austria with a literal café and theater inside, to Japan’s rollercoaster-worthy ramps, and even a Tokyo interchange with a rooftop garden—these 20 bridges and overpasses are more confusing than helpful. Some are wild, some are just weird, but all will make you double-take and question if the GPS is playing tricks on you. Concrete comedy at its finest! #Transportation #designfails #architecture00Share
