It's Not a Hair Transplant, It's a Hair Tattoo for a Natural Look (but if you're already bald??

I was just looking at some before and after photos of scalp micropigmentation. It's basically a hair tattoo to give you a natural looking hairline even though you are bald. It looks really great in the photo. But it just seems like a lot of work for a look you could get by just shaving your head. It feels like being bald with extra steps to me. I just do not understand what it buys you in the end. You still have to shave your head every couple of days so your real stubble doesn't look weird next to the tattoo.
