walkerjason+FollowDodge & Jeep Are Keeping the V8 Dream AliveThought the V8 was dead? Stellantis (think Dodge, Jeep, Ram) is doubling down on old-school muscle! The Jeep Wrangler 392 is sticking around, the Gladiator’s finally getting that beastly V8, and the Dodge Durango Hellcat is coming back with wild custom options. Even the Ram TRX is making a comeback. It’s not a V8 comeback—because these engines never really left. Looks like the muscle car era isn’t over yet, and honestly, I’m here for the rumble. #Cars #Dodge #Jeep501Share
schmidtgeorge+FollowTalk About These Cool Car Names That Got Totally WastedThere is just something special about a car with a real name. A performance version of the Ford Crown Victoria would have been cool no matter what but how much better did it get when Mercury chose to call it the Marauder. That is an incredible name. Sometimes though automakers use a great name on a car that doesn't live up to its name. The name Dodge Rampage evokes some kind of tough off roader. It was actually a front wheel drive unibody coupe utility based on a Charger. Its name just did not fit. In Japan after the R34 generation the Nissan Skyline name was used on various vehicles that would be sold as Infinitis. They are not necessarily bad cars but they pale in comparison to the legends from the 1990s. I also cringe at seeing the name Skyline on a crossover SUV. Then there is the Dodge Hornet. It started its life as the legendary Hudson Hornet but then the name was slapped on an overpriced hybrid econobox that literally nobody wants. The Toyota Supra is another one. It went from an all-in-house legend to something that doesn't even have a Toyota engine. It is a real shame too. #CarTalk #Cars #ClassicCars #Dodge #Nissan #Toyota #Discussion #PetPeeves 3220Share

Anna Kim+FollowDodge’s Fake V8 Roar Is Now OfficialDodge just got a patent for its wild Fratzonic Chambered Exhaust—yep, that’s the tech that makes their electric muscle cars sound like they’ve got a rumbling V8 under the hood. The Charger Daytona Scat Pack was super fun to test, but sales have been meh, and Dodge is already shifting back to gas engines. Still, this patent means Dodge owns the rights to the loudest fake engine noise in the game. Will other brands try to copy the drama? #Cars #CarOwnership #Dodge1613Share
William Goodwin+FollowDodge Sales Just Fell Off a CliffDodge is having a rough year—sales are down nearly 50% compared to last year! The switch from their classic gas-powered Chargers and Challengers to the new Charger EV isn’t winning over fans (only 4,299 EVs sold vs. 26,876 old Chargers last year). Alfa Romeo and Chrysler are also sliding, while only Ram, Fiat, and Jeep are holding things together. Stellantis needs a serious comeback move, stat! #Cars #Dodge #Stellantis4223Share

Roger Franco+FollowDodge’s Cup Comeback: Not So Fast?Anyone else hyped for Dodge’s rumored Cup Series return? Well, NASCAR’s John Probst just hit us with a reality check: even if Dodge goes all-in today, we won’t see them back until 2027 at the earliest. The 18-month development process—especially the body and engine work—can’t be rushed. While Dodge’s old V8 gives them a head start, catching up after 13 years out is no joke. Looks like we’ll have to enjoy the Ram’s Truck Series run and stay patient for the big show!
