he tried to sit like a human

We were watching TV, and Kevin decided he wanted to be “one of us.” So he jumped on the couch, twisted his little body around, and somehow managed to sit upright. Back against the pillow. Legs out. It was past midnight and the house was completely still—except for a soft woof. Grace was curled up in her bed, paws twitching, ears flopping with every little dream movement. It’s funny how dogs always have a “spot,” right? That one place they love to curl up in, no matter where you are. Today, Grace finally found hers. At first, she’d been unsure about the couch.
