In that world, I had a wife, kids, a steady office job, and simple daily rituals like breakfast with orange juice. I felt the love, the arguments, the laughter, even the casual moments of kicking my wife’s feet under the blankets to tease her. It felt real — more real than anything I'd known.
When I finally woke up, confused and panicked, it took me time to recognize myself, my room, and even my own mother. The loss of that other life shook me deeply and made me question reality itself. Even now, years later, breakfast brings back a strange, bittersweet feeling.
