Lynn+FollowPeople judging others for getting assistance is not right! It seems that most of you all have the answer.....work more. I've been on assistance.....working 40 hours a week (that wasn't minimum wage). I got a whole $24 a month for me and my child. It's not always people sitting there getting their nails done getting help (and so you really know how or why they are doing that). My boyfriend wanted my nails done, so he paid for it. Ya'll so quick to look down on people... but there are those who bust their hump trying to make ends meet and get off of assistance. It's not easy to do when there is one person (usually the mother) trying to take care of it all on her own (sometimes the father is a dead beat who doesn't pay child support and works under the table to avoid having his wages garnished--as what happened to me) when you all must know it takws at least 2 incomes to 'survive'. I'm one to usually keep my mouth shut, but damn.....it's getting too hard. Everyone has a story or going through something... instead of being so judgemental, try to wonder what they're going through. Terric Higgins+FollowIs it cruel punishment to those that get SNAP benefits in some states for them to no longer be able to buy snacks and soda? Under the guidance of the HHS he now wants to make America healthy again. He claims that these recipients are only buying junk food and it’s destroying children and adults health. Do you think the government should stay out of people’s lives or do you agree that these recipients are not using their benefits appropriately and it should be managed? #EBTBenefitsWoes #EBTBenefits #SnacksAndDrinks 150314Share
