Adam Rich+FollowFedEx Is Demanding My 81-Year-Old Dad Pay $327 For Two Bolts My 81-year-old dad was just trying to fix my sister's lawnmower. He needed two very specific bolts so he ordered them online from the UK. After waiting a long time for the package to arrive, he got a surprise invoice from FedEx for about ten dollars. He went ahead and paid it even though the shipping was supposed to be free. Then today he got a fifteen-page past due notice from FedEx demanding he pay over $327. The document says his past due balance is $327 but also lists the total for the invoice as only ten dollars. It makes no sense. I can only guess that the online vendor owes FedEx this money and my dad got stuck with the bill. He's old school and has been trying to deal with this through snail mail which is not working. I am completely lost on how to deal with this. Any advice would be much appreciated. #FedEx #CustomerService #BillingIssues #ScamAlert #HelpNeeded #ElderlyStruggles #OnlineShopping 170394Share
Sabrina Carrillo+FollowCuba’s Seniors Are Barely SurvivingImagine working your whole life and then retiring on less than $13 a month. That’s the reality for Cuba’s elderly, who are scraping by selling fruit, used clothes, and whatever they can find. With the economy in crisis, food and medicine are scarce, and the state can barely help. Many have no family left after a mass exodus, and some are even forced to dig through trash to eat. It’s heartbreaking to see a whole generation just trying to survive, not live. #CubaCrisis #ElderlyStruggles #EconomicReality #Safety410Share
