“Almost Wasn’t Enough”

We started as fire—too bright to ignore, Built castles in moments, left fear at the door. But time has a way of revealing the cracks, And love can’t survive when one soul steps back. You said you cared, and maybe you did, But only in ways that were easy to give. You wanted my heart, but not all the mess— The parts that were healing, the nights I was stressed. I held it together, played strong for us both, Swallowed my needs while you fed on my growth. You liked who I was when I needed you less— But love isn’t real if it hides from the mess. You showed up in moments, then vanished in space, Gave just enough hope to keep me in place. But I needed more than a “thinking of you,” I needed your presence—not promises due. I begged in my silence, I pleaded through peace, Hoping that effort would somehow increase. But love should be louder, not hard to decode, Not something that flickers, then drops like a load. And maybe I stayed when I should’ve let go, But I loved you too deeply to just tell you “no.” Now you’ll feel it in moments—quiet and rough: The ache of someone who almost was enough. ⸻ 💬 Drop a “🧩” if you ever held on longer than they did. Or if you ever loved someone who only showed up when it was easy. ⸻ 💔 Hashtags #AlmostEnough #LovedYouQuietly #YouNeverChoseMe #WeGrewApart #UnmatchedEffort #EmotionalPoetry #RelationshipTruths #ThisOneHurts #PoetryForTheHeart #OutgrewTheBond #GhostOfWhatWeWere #SoftHeartStrongMind #NotBeggingToBeChosen #IfYouFeltThis #HealingFromLove #ReadItAgain #TheyPulledAway #WhenLoveFades #TooMuchForTheWrongOne #PoetryForBothSides

“The Apology I’ll Never Get”

I hope you know I never wanted much. Just a little honesty. A little effort. A little touch. Not the grand gestures. Not a perfect plan— Just proof that I mattered. That I wasn’t less than. I didn’t need you to fix me. Just to sit with me in the wreckage. To not flinch at my storms, Or make me beg for the bare minimum like it was a privilege. But you disappeared in the silence you created. Left me wondering if I was easy to leave… or just easy to forget. You should’ve said you were done instead of pretending to stay. You should’ve told me the truth— That I was just a placeholder until something easier came your way. I gave you the version of me I was still learning to love. The softest parts. The unhealed ones. The pieces I swore I’d never hand to anyone. And you dropped them like they were disposable. But here’s the part that still ruins me: You never said sorry. Not for the confusion. Not for the silence. Not for making me feel like I was asking too much— when all I asked was to not be abandoned without reason. So no— I don’t hate you. I just hope one day you sit in a quiet room and finally feel what I felt while you were gone. And I hope it undoes you. ⸻ 💬 If you’ve ever waited for an apology that never came… Just comment “🥀” For the heartbreak they’ll never take responsibility for. ⸻ 💔 Hashtags #UnapologizedPain #ThisStillHurts #GhostedAndForgotten #PlaceholderHeart #IJustWantedEffort #YouNeverSaidSorry #EmotionalPoetry #FeltEveryWord #HealingThroughWords #WordsLeftUnsaid #StillBleedingSilently #ThisOneHurts #HealingWithoutClosure #ReadThisIfYoureHurting #ForTheOnesStillWaiting #SoftButWrecked #TearsInTextForm #IfYouFeltThisYoureNotAlone #PoetryForTheHurtOnes #YouWereTheLesson

“I Died While They Laughed”

I died in a room full of people who smiled, They joked while my thoughts ran bitter and wild. I laughed just enough to avoid the concern, But inside, I burned… and I never returned. They said I was strong—“the one who survives,” But never once asked what was left of my life. They praised me for walking through fire alone, Yet none of them noticed I’d turned into stone. I gave out advice I could barely believe, Wiped others’ tears while I couldn’t breathe. They leaned on my shoulders, as if they were steel— But God knows the cracks I kept trying to seal. No one saw the nights I curled up and cried, The “I’m okay” texts sent right after I lied. The mirror reflected a ghost in my skin— A version of me I had buried within. They loved who I was when I gave and I gave, But vanished the moment I needed to save. My heart was a shelter, my soul was a shield— But no one stood guard when I couldn’t heal. So I stitched up my silence and made it look pretty, Kept breaking alone in a loud, crowded city. And if I go missing, just know this is true: I was gone long before I stopped speaking to you. ⸻ 💬 Comment a “🕯️” if this whispered something you couldn’t say out loud. And if it hurt… it means you’re still alive. Still feeling. Still human. ⸻ 💔 Hashtags #DiedInPlainSight #HurtButSmiling #PoetryThatHurts #ThisOneBrokeMe #StillAliveStillHurting #YouDidntNotice #GhostInMySkin #InvisiblePain #CriedWritingThis #EmotionalPoetry #SilentBattles #HealingUnseen #CheckOnYourStrongFriends #PoetryForTheSoul #ReadItTwice #AloneInACrowd #UnheardHeartbeats #MaskedSadness #FeltEveryWord #YouAreNotAlone
