If your cat is suddenly obsessed with water (like, drinking from the toilet obsessed), peeing everywhere, or dropping weight despite eating like a tiny lion, pay attention.
Other red flags: a potbelly, random vomiting, cloudy eyes, or a coat that’s gone from silky to “I woke up like this” (but not in a good way). Some cats get super hungry, others lose their appetite. Basically, if your cat is acting off and is older, overweight, or male, don’t just blame it on cat drama.
Get them checked by a vet ASAP. Diabetes is manageable if you catch it early, but ignoring the signs can make things way worse. Your furball deserves better than a DIY diagnosis.
