Last night, while I was scrubbing the kitchen floor after a 12-hour workday, my wife told her friends I’m basically her third child—lazy, clueless, and totally dependent on her. Meanwhile, I’m the one paying bills, handling the trash, cooking, and shuttling the kids around. She’s a stay-at-home mom, but somehow, my 40% of the chores is invisible?
It gets better: if I try to explain anything, she calls it mansplaining. She even says I’m a misogynist, which is wild since I’ve always supported women’s independence and hate toxic masculinity. But every time I try to defend myself, she flips it and says I’m gaslighting her.
I’m exhausted, angry, and honestly, confused. How do I get her to see what I actually do without it turning into World War III? Any advice, because I’m at my wit’s end here! 😤🧹💸
