Pelicana Chicken • The Original Korean Fried Chicken Since 1982

Talking today about Pelicana, a hot 🔥 Korean fried chicken spot at Cupertino-Main. Founded in 1982, and dubbed as 'The-Best-from-Korea.' It's known as the OG, only using the freshest top-tier chicken! Not sure if it's the best but, it's definitely delicious! Here's their 3-step ordering process: Choose your chicken: Bone-in, boneless, or chicken wings! Choose your quantity: Half order (9 pieces), full order (18 pieces)! Choose your sauce: Three spice levels, Signature, Garlic, Soybean paste, Cheese - 7 options in total! We ordered two half orders of bone-in chicken with Signature and Garlic sauce! The chicken was tender & flavorful, and the crust was crispy. The honey sauce was rich, and the garlic one was a bit spicy (kid-friendly level of spice). Eating the meat and sucking the bones was a great experience, definitely a good spot 👍! 📍Pelicana Chicken 19540 Vallco Pkwy Ste , Cupertino, CA 95014 #PelicanaChicken #KoreanFriedChicken #TheBestFromKorea #ChickenLovers #DeliciousFood #CupertinoEats #FoodieLife #CravingChicken

🍷🍽️ Zuzu: A Napa Staple for Tapas and G&Ts 🍤🍹

Zuzu, a Napa staple for tapas, offers a delightful dining experience with globally sourced gins for their famous Gin & Tonics. Here's a breakdown of our visit: 📍 Location: ZuZu is located in Napa and has been serving delicious tapas since 2001. 🍹 Drinks: Their BYO G&T menu features gins from all over the world. We highly recommend trying the refreshing and citrusy Gin Raw from Barcelona, Spain. For a fruitier option, the Condesa from Mexico City is a great choice. 🍽️ Food: While there were a few hits and misses, overall, the tapas at ZuZu were pretty solid. Some standout dishes include the perfectly cooked Akaushi Flat-Iron Steak and the Whole Sand Dabs, which had a rich and buttery flavor. 👨‍🍳 Service: The service at ZuZu was prompt and cordial, creating a pleasant dining experience. 🏞️ Ambiance: With a casual and rustic atmosphere, ZuZu offers two levels for dining. However, we recommend snagging a table with shade on the front patio, as it can get quite hot. 🅿️ Parking: Street and lot parking in the area is available for free. Ristorante Allegria 🍽️Restaurant Experience in Downtown Napa🍝

📍Location: A popular restaurant in downtown Napa, surrounded by eateries, wine tasting rooms, and bars. 🔹 Conveniently close to Oxbow Market, just a few blocks away. 🍝Italian Delights: 🔸 Mostly pasta and entrees (secondis) on the menu. No pizzas, but there are delicious flatbread appetizers. 🍷Refreshing Drinks: 🔸 Extensive drink/cocktail menu, perfect for Napa Valley. Recommend trying the Blood Orange martini. 🌞Outdoor Dining: 🔸 Opt for patio dining for a brighter ambiance. Indoors can be a bit dark. 🎶Live Music in the Air: 🔸 Enjoy the occasional guitarist singing classic pop tunes in the nearby public square. 🍽️Personal Favorites: 🔹 Highly recommend the salmon alla griglia - perfectly grilled and seasoned, a hit even with our picky 3-year-old. 🔹 The pappardelle allo zafferrano is a must-try, with thick, buttery pasta noodles and flavorful mushrooms. 🍮Delightful Dessert: 🔹 End your meal with the orange-lavender creme brulee - simple but satisfying. 👪Kid-Friendly: 🔸 Kid's penne pasta comes with marinara sauce. Add grilled chicken for an extra $9, though it may come out dry and overcooked. 🌳🎸Enjoy the Atmosphere: Make the most of your visit by dining on the patio and soaking in the lively atmosphere. #NapaDining #ItalianCuisine #FoodieLife #PastaLovers #OutdoorDining #FamilyFriendly #LiveMusic #MustTryDishes #SweetEndings #NapaValley

Smashed Burger: My Guilty Pleasure Confession

I caved and made myself a smashed burger last night. Not the healthy salad I promised myself, not even a sad wrap—just pure, greasy, crispy-edged perfection. There’s something about that sizzle when the patty hits the pan, the way the cheese melts into every crevice, and the crunch of pickles that makes me forget all my so-called discipline. Was it worth it? Absolutely. I inhaled it in under five minutes and immediately felt both victorious and slightly ashamed. But honestly, who can resist that combo of juicy beef and toasted buns? If loving smashed burgers is wrong, I don’t want to be right. If you’re reading this and thinking about making one, just do it. Your taste buds will thank you, even if your conscience doesn’t. #SmashedBurger #FoodieLife #GuiltyPleasure #Food #Foodie

Why I Gave Up Fancy Brunches for My Couch

brunch outside is just an expensive way to eat eggs while pretending you’re not silently judging everyone’s mimosa intake. So today, I staged my own brunch at home. No reservations, no waiting in line, just me, my kitchen, and a playlist that doesn’t feature acoustic covers of pop songs. I went all out—fluffy pancakes, crispy bacon, avocado toast that didn’t cost half my rent. The best part? I could wear pajamas and nobody cared if I took a million photos of my food (except maybe my cat, who was unimpressed). Turns out, brunch at home is less about the food and more about reclaiming your weekend. No small talk, no overpriced lattes, just pure, unfiltered comfort. Highly recommend if you’re tired of pretending to enjoy $20 omelets. #BrunchAtHome #FoodieLife #WeekendVibes #Food #Foodie

Solo Duck Feast: Because Why Not?

Ever looked at a whole duck and thought, "Yeah, I deserve this"? Because that was me last night. No dinner party, no special occasion—just me, my kitchen, and a stubborn craving for crispy skin and juicy meat. I brined, I basted, I roasted. The apartment smelled like a five-star restaurant, and honestly, I felt like a culinary genius (until I realized I had to eat the whole thing myself). No regrets, though. Slicing into that golden-brown skin was pure therapy. Did I eat it all in one sitting? No. Did I try? Absolutely. Now I have leftovers for days, and my fridge looks like a duck-themed episode of MasterChef. Moral of the story: You don’t need a crowd to treat yourself. Sometimes, the best company is a perfectly roasted duck and your own unapologetic appetite. #SoloDining #RoastDuck #FoodieLife #Food #Foodie

Anyone Tried Custom Plates for Foodies?

Okay, so here’s my weirdly specific question: has anyone actually ordered custom-made plates for their food? I’m not talking about fancy restaurant stuff—just regular people who want their dinner to look extra. I keep seeing these beautiful, personalized plates on social media, and now I’m convinced my sad desk lunches would taste better if they were served on something with my name (or at least a cool design). But is it worth it? Do they chip easily? Is it a pain to clean? Or am I just falling for another Instagram trend that’ll end up in the back of my cupboard next to the bread maker? If you’ve got the inside scoop—good, bad, or hilarious plate fails—please share. Bonus points for pics. I need to know if this is a food glow-up or just another kitchen regret waiting to happen. #FoodieLife #CustomPlates #KitchenTrends #Food #Foodie

Anyone Tried Custom Plates for Foodies?

I Ordered a Whole Roast Duck. No Regrets.

So, last night I did something I’ve always wanted to do but never had the guts for: I ordered an entire roast duck just for myself. No sharing, no judgmental glances, just me and this glorious, glistening bird. First bite? Crispy skin, a little sweet, a little smoky—perfection. I thought I’d feel guilty, but honestly, it was liberating. Every piece was a victory over my usual food anxiety. I even made little pancakes with the meat and hoisin sauce, pretending I was at a fancy banquet instead of sitting cross-legged on my couch in pajamas. By the end, I was stuffed and happy, with leftovers for tomorrow (and probably the next day). Moral of the story: sometimes you just need to treat yourself like royalty, even if it’s just for dinner. Would I do it again? Absolutely. If you’ve ever wanted to eat a whole duck solo, this is your sign. Do it. You deserve it. #FoodieLife #TreatYourself #RoastDuck #SoloDining #ComfortFood #Food #Foodie
