Unpopular Opinion: Cheddar > American on Burgers
Is it just me, or is American cheese on burgers kind of... overrated? I know it’s the classic, but every time I try it, I’m left wondering what all the hype is about. It melts, sure, but the flavor just doesn’t do it for me.
Honestly, I’m team sharp white cheddar all the way. There’s something about that tangy, bold bite that makes a burger feel like an actual meal, not just fast food. Maybe it’s a little snobby, but I want my cheese to taste like cheese, not just creamy plastic.
