Real Madrid Clinches Laureus Team of the Year 2024 🏆✨
Real Madrid has once again made history, scooping up the Laureus Team of the Year award for 2024. The Spanish giants had an incredible year, bagging five trophies including the UEFA Champions League, La Liga, UEFA Super Cup, Intercontinental Cup, and the Supercopa de España.
This marks the second time in club history they've achieved this feat in a single calendar year, with 2017 being the other. Real Madrid outshone nominees like Barcelona Women, McLaren Formula 1, Spain's National soccer team, the Boston Celtics, and the USA basketball team to take home the prestigious honor.
The ceremony, held at the Palacio de Cibeles in Madrid, saw Florentino Perez and star players in attendance, with Rafael Nadal presenting the trophy to the triumphant Los Merengues.
Luka Modric expressed the team's gratitude, saying, "We are proud to receive this prestigious award. We had a fantastic season, winning many trophies and displaying excellence on the pitch."
Meanwhile, injured Dani Carvajal urged the team to stay focused, emphasizing their upcoming challenges.
