5 Bay Area Petting Zoos My Daughter Loves

Over the past two years, I've visited various petting zoos with my daughter. Feel free to add your favorites in the comments!👇 1⃣️ Deer Hollow Farm, Los Altos: Free! Located in Rancho San Antonio, a 20-minute hike leads you to the farm with cows, huge rabbits, lambs, lazy pigs, and a bunch of chickens. Stroller-friendly!🐄🐖🐔 2⃣️ McClellan Ranch Preserve, Cupertino: Free! The highlight here is the cute alpacas. Although the farm is mini, there's a variety of lively animals. Nearby loop trails are stroller-friendly.🦙 3⃣️ Hidden Villa Hiking Trails, Los Altos Hills: Paid entry. We visited in summer and saw fewer animals than usual: sleeping pigs, inactive chickens, and lots of sheep.🐑💤 4⃣️ Ardenwood Historic Farm, Fremont: Paid entry. Best on Sundays, offers a mini train ride and a chance to simulate milking cows. Plus, a beautiful Victorian villa and a blacksmith shop!🚂🐄🏰 5⃣️ Lemos Farm, Half Moon Bay: Paid entry. Kids can ride ponies, sheep, go on hay rides, and drive little cars. Busier on weekends.🐴🚜🚗 #BayArea #PettingZoos #FamilyOuting #FreeActivities #PaidActivities #DeerHollowFarm #McClellanRanchPreserve #HiddenVillaHikingTrails #ArdenwoodHistoricFarm #LemosFarm

5 Free Water Parks in South Bay

1️⃣ **Hellyer Park, San Jose** After a major renovation two summers ago, kids love the new splash pad and waterfall archway (open whenever it's >70F), and parents appreciate the shaded area. Kids will enjoy climbing the two 30-foot towers and massive log climbing structure, and spinning on the carousel. Parking costs $6. 📍985 Hellyer Ave., San Jose, CA 2️⃣ **Jack Fischer Park, Campbell** Recently reopened after a renovation, this park is a great spot when the weather heats up. A green pipe forms a water tunnel for kids of all ages to run through. There's also plenty of grass, a sand area, and play structures. Older kids will enjoy riding scooters or bikes on the park's "hill." 📍1499 Abbott Ave. at Pollard Rd., Campbell, CA 3️⃣ **Seven Seas Park, Sunnyvale** Though small, this mini water park is a hit with the kids, and the park also has shaded areas for parents to rest. 📍1010 Morse Ave, Sunnyvale, CA 94089, USA 4️⃣ **Lakewood Park, Sunnyvale** Have a blast at Lakewood Park! Families with kids of all ages will find fun in their summer afternoons from skating, basketball, slides, to a wobbly water play area. Little astronauts will love getting sprayed by the spaceship and running on the cushioned ground decorated like outer space. 📍834 Lakechime Dr. 5️⃣ **Ortega Park, Sunnyvale** Towering flowers spray water, making kids feel like they've entered a giant garden. This popular spot lets kids wade through puddles, stop to play on climbing structures, or ride swings suitable for all ages. 📍636 Harrow Way, Sunnyvale, CA 94085 #SanFrancisco #BayArea #WaterParks #SummerFun #FreeActivities #FamilyFriendly #OutdoorActivities #SouthBay
