Let’s be real—my cat sheds like it’s her job. So, I shake out her bed and use a rubber glove to grab all that extra fluff. Then, I vacuum every nook and cranny (don’t forget the crevice tool!) and sprinkle some baking soda for those mysterious cat smells.
If I spot any stains or, uh, surprises, I brush them off and toss the cover in the wash with pet-safe detergent. Hot water and a splash of vinegar help kick fleas and odors to the curb. I always dry the cover outside if I can—my cat loves that fresh air scent!
For the mattress, I shake it out, vacuum, and give it a gentle bath if it fits. Everything gets dried completely before my cat claims her throne again. Clean bed, happy kitty, less fur on my couch!
