I KNEW I was not that bad at racing games!! The AI is just cheating!

Have you ever been playing a racing game and you are in the lead but somehow the car behind you just flies right by like you are standing still? Or maybe you hit the wall and you instantly go from first to last place. It always feels like the computer cars are just playing by different rules. Well, it turns out our feelings are right!! I saw this video that showed the hidden data in an old game called Sega GT. The game has a system that secretly gives cars a power boost based on their position. The cars at the back get a huge boost while the ones in front get slowed down. It's designed to keep races close and exciting. That's so annoying. I will spend an hour trying to get a perfect lap with a perfect racing line only to have some random AI car slam into me at the last second and then just speed away.
