matched with someone on a dating app, we vibed, and made loose plans to meet up. He said he’d confirm in the morning if he could make it that night. I said cool, no pressure—tomorrow works too.
Fast forward: last message from him was last night. I replied, but now it’s well into the afternoon and… radio silence. No update, no cancellation, nothing. I’m left staring at my phone, wondering if I should send a follow-up or just take the hint and move on.
Is it just me, or does it feel like dating apps are basically just waiting rooms for people who never show up? Part of me wants to text, “Hey, no worries if you’re not feeling it,” but another part says, “Why chase someone who can’t even send a two-second message?”
