Meet Leroy: Grandfather Mountain’s newest bald eagle

Leroy, a young bald eagle rescued after an injury left him unable to fly, is settling into his new home at Grandfather Mountain. Found stranded in Oklahoma, Leroy’s journey brought him all the way to North Carolina, where he now shares an enclosure with Griffin, another eagle with a similar story. It’s pretty special to see these majestic birds up close, knowing they’re getting a second chance.
