It’s raining again. Not a cinematic, windswept storm—just a steady, cold drizzle that seeps into your socks and your mood. I used to think travel was all castles and wild landscapes, but standing here, damp and shivering, I realize most of it is just being uncomfortable in new ways.
Scotland is beautiful, sure. But it’s also wet, grey, and honest. No filters. The locals don’t pretend the weather is better than it is. I respect that. I’m learning to respect the way travel doesn’t always deliver what you want, but sometimes gives you what you need: a reason to slow down, to admit you’re tired, to let the rain fall without fighting it.
