Cathy Owens+FollowNot trying to be a buzzkill, but… how sustainable is all this?I went to Maple Grove with my boyfriend (he’s obsessed). And yeah, seeing nitro cars launch is unreal. But by the 3rd pair, I was wondering how many gallons of fuel each pass burns — and what that does to the air. Is there any serious talk of alternative fuels, or do we all just agree to enjoy it while we can? #NHRA #DragRacing #Nitro #Environment #HardQuestions12863Share

That extra 320 feet felt like a second stage where the real magic (or carnage) happened. But I’m also not blind — we lost a lot of good people, and speeds were getting crazy. Shaving it down probably saved lives. Still, sometimes I wonder if it clipped the sport’s wings just a hair too much. Like, would Schumacher’s or Dixon’s old passes even be possible under today’s setups? Curious what you all think. Did NHRA make the right call, or did we trade too much adrenaline for safety? #NHRA #DragRacing #1000ft #1320ft #HardQuestions257Share
