Liber+FollowThe subtle nourishment of a great jobA great job nourishes you in ways you might not immediately notice. After over two years at my current company, I often reflect on my luck and have come to understand what I believe makes a good job. Here are some thoughts for those on the job hunt. The ideal work environment is one where everyone has their own family and career outside of work. People should look forward to going home after work, not feel obligated to stay late. There's an understanding that punctuality is important and respected by all. A good company recognizes your hard work. While overtime is common in any job, it shouldn't be expected. A healthy workplace acknowledges when the workload exceeds regular hours and compensates with benefits like extra pay or time off. Surprisingly, not all companies practice this. There are many small details that can indicate if a company is worth staying with, but your gut feeling is often the most reliable. Do you feel comfortable and at ease at your job? Is there an open and respectful communication environment with your colleagues? And most importantly, how does your body feel? A good job should energize you, while a draining one will leave you feeling depleted. #JobSatisfaction #WorkplaceCulture #HealthyWorkEnvironment60Share
