Rodney Sellers+FollowRemember when the race schedule actually made sense?Man, call me old, but I miss when you could set your watch by NASCAR. Sundays meant church, lunch, then racin’. No midweek gimmicks, no chopping up the season for TV deals. Just 43 cars, green flag drops at 1PM, and you’d better have your chores done. Nowadays I gotta check a dang app to figure out if it’s a Saturday night short track, a Sunday evening start, or some random street race. Not saying change is all bad — just kinda feels like they lost the plot chasing casual fans. Anyone else miss the simple days? #NASCAR #Nostalgia #RaceDay #Heartland29223Share
Heidi Fletcher+FollowBrad Pitt’s F1 movie kinda slapped me in the faceWalked outta that theater all kinds of twisted up. Watching F1 on the big screen — the tech, the global glam, the damn near sci-fi pit stops — it hits different. Makes our oval tracks look like backyard BBQs by comparison. No wonder all the young bucks are tuning into F1 instead. Don’t get me wrong, I bleed NASCAR. Grew up dreaming about Daytona, yelling at the TV with nacho cheese on my shirt, the works. Those thunderous V8s still give me goosebumps. But truth is, maybe that chapter’s closing. Maybe we’re just hangin’ on ‘cause it’s all we’ve ever known. Who knows… one day NASCAR might be nothing more than faded stickers on an old beer fridge. #Racing #NASCAR #F1 #BradPitt #Heartland #Americana405Share
