DIY home reno with two kids? This is pure chaos 😵💫
From closing in January to now, we’ve been in full DIY survival mode—two working parents, two kids, and zero free time. First-time experiences? Too many. Painting, wallpaper, limewash (5 coats!), archway makeovers, wood molding—you name it, we tried it.
Lessons learned:
✅ Uneven walls + molding = disaster (ask my broken wood strips).
✅ Skip the paint sprayer. Prep is a pain, breathing sucks, and it clogs constantly.
✅ Limewash is gorgeous but exhausting.
✅ Drawer pulls & lights? Paint them. Small changes, big impact.
✅ Foam molding is a lifesaver. Lightweight, easy install, and paint-friendly.
