The door is about eight by six inches and the cabinet itself is not very deep maybe also eight inches. The house is located in a southern state in the US. A big hole in my new house!! What do we do with it??? 😵😵

We just bought a half-finished house, and while we're super excited, we've got a really big challenge on our hands. The previous owners intended this space to be an indoor pool, but we're not keen on keeping it that way. Now we're staring at this big, multi-sided pit... Our main idea is to level out the floor, essentially filling in the pool pit. But we also wonder if there is another way... And then there's the wooden plank ceiling. We're considering painting it white, and maybe matching the door and window trims in a complementary color. They put up and framed a mural, but overall they wanted to keep the space really simple.
