DIY Energy Drinks That Actually Work (And Taste Good!)
Making your own energy drinks at home is a total game changer. Here’s how I do it with three different styles:
For a homemade sports drink, juice 8 lemons and 8 limes. Mix the juice with sugar and salt, let it sit for 10 minutes, then add cold water. Serve over ice. It’s super refreshing and way cheaper than store-bought.
For a caffeine-based boost, zest lemons and oranges, muddle with sugar, and let it sit. Brew a tea with ginseng, caffeine, taurine, and ginkgo biloba, then strain and mix with the citrus syrup. Chill, then serve with pear cider or sparkling water. It’s got a kick!
For a coconut water energy drink, brew green tea and chill it. Mix with lemon juice, cherry juice, coconut water, and agave. Top with soda water and serve over ice. This one’s perfect post-workout.
Honestly, these taste better and you know exactly what’s in them. Give them a try!
