is this maldives honeymoon package really worth $3k?
I’ve been planning our big trip to the Maldives for what feels like forever, and I finally found a package that sounds almost too good to be true: four nights at Angsana Velavaru, all meals included, for $3,000. We’d get two nights in a beachfront villa with our own infinity pool, then two nights in an overwater villa (which I’ve always dreamed about!). They throw in a bunch of extras—like a bottle of wine, a fruit platter, a special dinner on the beach, a floating breakfast, and even a 30-minute massage for both of us. Plus, all the transfers and taxes are covered, and there’s free snorkeling, water sports, and daily entertainment.
But here’s where I’m stuck: I keep hearing that the Maldives is expensive, but is this actually a good deal, or am I missing something? Part of me wonders if I’m paying too much just for the name or if there’s a hidden catch. I mean, $3,000 is a lot for four nights, even if it’s paradise. Has anyone stayed at Angsana Velavaru or found a better deal somewhere else? I’m tempted to keep looking, but I also don’t want to lose this booking if it’s really as good as it sounds. Sometimes I feel like these packages are just designed to lure us in with fancy extras that we don’t even end up using. Has anyone else felt this way when booking a big trip?
