Big changes coming to I-84 in Meridian

Heads up if you drive I-84 at night—westbound lanes between Ten Mile and Garrity are shutting down from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. through Monday. You’ll have to detour on Franklin Road, and speed limits are dropping. It’s all part of building a new flyover interchange for the Idaho 16 extension, which should make commutes way smoother by 2027. Until then, expect more nighttime lane restrictions through April. Anyone else curious if these detours will really be worth it in the end?
