I offered to pay for our date, but my girlfriend got mad💸💔
I never thought making more money would be a problem in my relationship, but here I am, totally baffled. I’m a doctor pulling in over $300k a year, and my girlfriend works at a nonprofit making $55k. You’d think it’d be simple: I pay for dinners, trips, whatever, because honestly, it’s pocket change for me. But every time I try to treat her, she gets weird about it—insisting on splitting the bill or paying next time.
Last week, she lost $300 on a nonrefundable flight, and when I offered to cover it, she shut me down hard. She says she doesn’t need to be taken care of, but I just want to make her life easier. Is it wrong to want to share what I have? Or am I missing something huge here? Someone please explain this logic to me before I lose my mind! 😤🤷♂️
