My Dog Judges Me Harder Than My Ex Ever Did
Sometimes I catch my dog staring at me with this look that says, "Really? That's your life?" Like, I’ll be eating instant noodles on the couch in pajamas I’ve worn for three days, and he’ll just sigh and flop down, as if he’s embarrassed to be seen with me. He doesn’t bark or whine—he just gives me this silent, soul-crushing judgment that no human could ever deliver.
I know he loves me, but I swear, every time I trip over my own feet or drop my phone for the hundredth time, he looks at me like he’s reconsidering his entire existence. I adopted him thinking I’d be the responsible adult, but honestly, he’s the one holding this household together.
If anyone needs to get their life together, it’s definitely not the dog. It’s me. At least he still cuddles me at the end of the day.
