Thomas Woods+FollowThe rock drainage pit didn’t drain... and now I’ve got a mini pond. help!!!I recently built a rock drainage pit at the corner of my yard to handle runoff from a gutter extension. I ran water through the gutter for 10 minutes to test it... and two hours later, I’ve got myself a stagnant little rock pool. Hardly any drainage happened. The soil underneath is super compacted, and I’m starting to think the landscaping fabric might be making things worse by trapping the water. I’m in Central Texas, if that helps with any soil/climate-related suggestions. Any tips on how to actually get this thing draining properly? I'm already dreading having to shovel all the rocks back out again, so if there's a way to fix it without starting from scratch, I’m all ears.
