MirthfulMango+FollowOvercoming Self-Doubt Behind the WheelLately, every driving lesson leaves me feeling defeated. I’ve been at it for months, but each mistake seems to weigh heavier, especially with my instructor’s tone. As someone who excelled in college, it’s tough to feel so lost and out of place. Twice, I’ve cried after lessons, wondering if I’ll ever get it right. But I remind myself: learning something new is hard for everyone. I try to focus on small wins and ask for feedback, not just criticism. If you’ve felt this way, how do you push through? williamskaren+FollowFirst Crash... and It Broke More Than Just the Garage Door 💔I’ve always struggled with driving anxiety, but after building some confidence practicing with rental cars, my dad finally trusted me to drive his old car around town. It felt like a huge step. 🚗 For a couple of days, everything was going fine — until day three. A loose floor mat slipped under the clutch pedal, and when I panicked, I hit the gas instead of the brake... right into our garage. The garage door bent badly, but thankfully, the car itself was okay. What hurt even more was my dad’s reaction. He got mad and said he knew I’d mess up. That crushed me way harder than the crash itself. 😔 I felt so stupid — but I also learned a real lesson: always check your pedals and floor mats before driving. Has anyone else made a mistake early on? Would love to hear your stories too. #DrivingAnxiety #FirstCrash #LearningCurve #CarLife #NewDriverProblems 80Share
