Dealing with harassing HR over a non-compete clause

I recently left a toxic job in the food industry. Before I went, I signed a confidentiality and IP protection agreement that included a non-compete clause and a requirement to disclose my new employer's details to my former company. However, I've moved to the tech industry, which is completely unrelated, and I don't want to bother my new manager with this. Despite this, HR from my old company has been relentlessly pressuring me to disclose my new employer's information and even wants me to sign a new "continuing obligation" agreement, focusing heavily on non-compete and non-solicitation clauses. I've been ignoring their emails and letters, but now they're threatening legal action if I don't respond. This is all happening in Illinois. I already told my new manager about my move to a different industry before I left. What should I do? #NonCompeteClause #HRHarassment #JobTransition #LegalThreats #TechIndustry #JobCareer
